A few days after a court order prompted the promoters of the much hyped show to shift venues from the Borrowdale Race Course to the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), Local hip hop artiste Simbarashe Tagwireyi affectionately known as Simba Tagz has pulled out of the Toya DeLazy concert slated for this weekend.
The hoarse voiced rapper took to his Facebook Page to inform his network of fans that he will not be sharing the stage with the Pump It Up hitmaker.
“On account of circumstances beyond my control, I’m no longer able to perform at the Toya Delazy concert on Friday,” wrote Tagz on his Facebook page.
He however encouraged locals to go and show love to the other Zimbabwean acts on the roster.
“It’s my hope you all still go out to watch the show in support of Toya and all of the other brilliant local talent,” he said.
This comes hot after outcry alleging disrespect from local artistes who applied through a Facebook competition to be opening acts for Toya DeLazy but have not received any official response.
One artiste, who refused to be named, expressed concern over the silence from the promoters.
“These guys made us mobilize our fans to vote for us and the one who had the most votes was supposed to be part of the show.
Now it`s two days before the show and no communication has taken place,” he said.
He further complained that the fans he asked to vote are now pestering for feedback, leaving him with an egg on his face.
