Three consecutive shows have flopped at the Bulawayo’s City hall car park, the latest being the poorly attended Babes Wodumo concert on Friday night.
Coming to Bulawayo for the first time, the Gqom queen as Babes Wodumo is affectionately known had a task of turning around the curse that haunted Busy Signal concert and various Bulawayo artists, alas the same predicament hit her.
Organisers of the poorly attended event had to open gates for people to get in for free after the realisation that the numbers won’t grow.
Babes wodumo who was backed by local wheel spinner DJ liz, put up a polished act, belting out her hits Wololo, Mngani wami, Mercedes and her new track Ganda Ganda.

The dancer cum-musician later invaded a packed Club Connect around 3: 30 am, where she enticed fans as she danced from the VIP arena.
The first show to flop at City hall car park was headlined by Jamaican star Busy Signal. The show prematurely ended after missiles rained on stage.
The last one organized by ZBC, where Bulawayo’s top musicians-Jeys Marabini, Sandra Ndebele, Madlela among others failed to attract a profuse crowd.
Next week the ‘cursed’ city hall car park will put another Mzansi star- Cassper Nyovest to test as he performs alongside Cal Vin, Soul Jah Love and Freeman.
