Despite the lockdown clamping down on the much anticipated Valentine’s day, love fair fanatics haven’t given up on throwing a rose or two in the sky in celebration.

The same can be said with Mhlengi Khumalo a gospel music artist who is set to launch his second single track titled “Only you.”

A track that Mhlengi Khumalo believes is going to be a theme for this year’s indoors valentine and many more to come.

The 4 minute Jazz fused track celebrates a unique based love that conquers adversities and even distance.

Only you resonate with the current situation which most love birds are going through due to the novel pandemic.

The pandemic has wilted most relationships faster than plucked rose petals, only those based on loyalty and true love are still thriving.

Only you is a song that takes into consideration and celebrates such struggles.

Initially, Mhlengi performed Only you for his long time sweetheart during their wedding last year December.

“The track is a deep offering that I shared with my wife. We went through ups and downs, Our relationship was tested through time and distance. But in all these challenges we emerged victorious and even stronger than before. This is what Only You is all about,”

Judging by the tears she shed and the crowd’s reaction to the track, it’s going to resonate with many.

Even those looking for love are going to be given a glimpse into the color of true love and what it means to be loved.

Those who are wondering who Mhlengi Khumalo is, he is a gospel music artist who was born in a musical family.

At a young age, his family was already singing in the church choir. He took to the stage naturally and vowed to make a name for himself in the music circle.

“I grew up in a family that embraced music. Sundays were special, we would sing in the church choir. That’s where I can safely say I honed my vocal skill and woke the musician in me.”

For the past 8 years, Mhlengi has worked with various groups namely Destiny Praise and Cross-Motion, but he couldn’t settle for less.

That’s when he decided to venture into a solo career taking off with his single track How excellent.

“I started off working with a lot of gospel music groups. That’s when I met a lot of people and honed my skill further. From the onset, I knew that I had to do more. Spread the word of God through music and even show people who have given up on love.

That, it is still a beautiful thing when you have the right person,” he said.

The track now available on YouTube, and will be available on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer and Google Play next week.
