Coincidentally Zim hip-hop saw the release of two tracks from the capital and Bulawayo carrying an identical meaning.
First it was T1 Wema1 and GZE together with Dancehall chanter Goldfinga’s release of Ndine Boyz on Wednesday. The song which was produced by Zim Hip Hop award winning producer FunF is characterised by predominantly Shona lyrics coupled with street slang and a catchy hook all of which are laced over a thumping Trapsoul beat.
T1 and his collaborators talk about how they turn up with true camaraderie after being successfully rewarded with the gains of the hustle.

Fast forward two days later, coincidentally three Bulawayo rappers Cal Vin, Mawiza and GTI team up to give us a track called Jeki.
Jeki is slang for friend in Bulawayo and the trio talks about having a good time with beautiful ladies and good music in the company of friends.
Cal Vin who keeps on experimenting with beat this time adopts the trending Gqom sound.
Originating from South Africa Gqom is a collection of loud tribal house sound and kwaito creating a unique pattern of sound.
Some of the artistes know for belting out Gqom beats are Rudeboyz, Destruction Boyz, Okmalumkoolkat and the self-proclaimed Queen of Gqom Babes Wodumo.
