After failed two attempts to come and perform in Bulawayo, South African dancer and singer Dr Malinga jetted in today for two shows scheduled today.
The first show is penciled for 4 Js Bar in the border town of Plumtree and later tonight at the Vista in Bulawayo.
Speaking on an interview with Dona N and Babongile Sikhonjwa on Skyz Metro FM, Malinga said he will sample tracks from his upcoming album Busisiwe.
“I will sample tracks from my new album dubbed Busisiwe. The name comes after my young sister named Busisiwe. The album has a mixture of my old sound and also Amapiano, it has a song that talks about respecting and loving women. I am happy to have finally come here and ready to rock Bulawayo and Plumtree,” he said.
In September his performance at the Umcimbi Wabantu was cancelled at the last minute due to the xenophobic attacks in his country.
Last month another show was again cancelled at the 11th hour, after his passport’s pages had been exhausted.
